A few more

Easter! (I know, it's grainy...but it was really dark and I had to do a lot of work on it to make their faces visible)

NEW YORK CITY

Riveting Broadway shows
Endless shopping
Amazing museums
Historic architecture
Ridiculous parking rules

So, I usually try to stay pretty positive here on my little corner of the net, but sometimes things just don't go your way and you have to tell someone about it.

Asa has gotten back into modeling. He recently did a shoot for Hasbro, almost landed a Huggies commercial, and today had a callback for an Ikea commercial. This means a lot of trips into the city. Just for reference, I'll calculate a little so you'll know what it costs just to get there once.

Gas- about $15
Tolls- $8.65
Parking- approximately $25 (unless you're lucky enough to find a meter)

Today, Justin, Ethan, and Asa left for the city at about 1:00 for a 3:00 audition for Asa. They got there early and Justin was thrilled to find a parking space at a meter. Here's what the sign said:

Commercial Vehicles
No Stopping or Standing
Meter Parking Only

He parked, paid, and went into the studio. Less than an hour later he ran back out to feed the meter...and the van had vanished. Had it been stolen? Towed? Or had it just taken the opportunity to escape when it had the chance? He called me. I freaked out. Asa was required to stay at the audition for an additional 2 hours. The boys were tired, hungry, thirsty, hot, and way past ready to go. I called the city and found out that the van had been towed and was at the Pier 76 pound. They finally let Asa go and the guys walked 4 blocks (Avenue blocks, not Street blocks, read: a really long way for two tired little boys), past boarded up windows, bums, and very questionable establishments with very visible advertisements in their windows. Meanwhile, I am at home on the computer calculating the cost of this adventure (financial and emotional) and trying to decide if I should have a heart attack or just go into labor from the stress. Finally, they got to the pound and waited an hour for the van to be brought to them.

6 hours, $300, and one panic attack later, Justin arrived home with the boys.

Oh and by the way, Asa's agent called....they want him back tomorrow at 3:00. If Justin has any say in it, though, Asa's acting career ended today at 38th Street and Pier 76.....
